South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are based in Norwich and are looking to grow with the addition of an ICT Business Support Officer. The ICT & Digital team is responsible for the provision of ICT & Digital services and support to 10 offices across the Norfolk area. Whilst you need solid experience within a support capacity, ultimately culture is just as important. Personality, humour and character are significant factors and combined with a strong aptitude and love of ICT, are what it takes to be successful in this role and company for the foreseeable future

What you’ll be doing…
- Log calls via the Service Desk call logging software
- Provide support to users via phone, email, remotely, and direct methods.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team
- Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided
- Procurement of hardware and software requirements regarding Service Support within the Councils.
You must have…
- The ability to provide excellent customer service and high quality technical support by working on the Council’s Service Desk. The skills to be well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in their approach to work. You must also be able to prioritise a variable workload and know when to escalate a problem appropriately.
- A good understanding of Microsoft technologies including Office365, Windows 10 and upwards, Exchange, Active Directory, Anti-Virus and basic networking.
