Role Snapshot…

Providing technical and administrative support for the Warm Homes programme team to deliver energy efficiency and clean heat grants working in partnership with all Norfolk Councils.

You will be friendly, polite, and professional.  Every day will bring a variety of work so you will need to be able to multi-task, have an excellent telephone manor, a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in an ever-evolving busy project with several external funding streams.

 

What you could be part of…

Our Technical Advisor team provides the technical and administrative support for the Warm Homes Team.  You will triage, assess and work with them to guide them through the customer journey in applying for an energy efficiency and clean heat grant giving them practical and clear technical advice whilst processing their application.  You will be part of a team delivering a package of home improvements grants to fuel poor households and vulnerable residents to improve their property’s energy efficiency whilst lowering their annual carbon usage.

This role will never be dull and there will always be plenty of work to do!

What you’ll be doing…

  • To provide administrative and technical support to Warm Homes Team members in line with externally funded programme requirements
  • Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries for the Warm Homes Team, triaging, giving advice and responding to, and sending out application forms ensuring office opening times are covered.
  • To carry out eligibility and property checks for residents applying for grant funded works and referring to technical officers for review
  • Process all grant applications from receipt through the customer journey maintaining and generating CRM with grant acceptances, approvals and payments in line with Council policy.
  • To log and refer all resident referrals to external contractors
  • Log and monitor all telephone call and emails received through the published mailboxes.

You must have…

  • NVQ level 2 or above in business administration or experience of project work or similar or related role
  • Proven customer care skills and experience of working within a busy administration environment
  • Evidence of well –developed administrative skills with the ability to operate a variety of IT systems at any one time
  • Experience with communication to external contractors, agencies and third parties
  • Demonstrable experience interacting with customers and the public through a variety of channels
  • Ability to prioritise work to strict deadlines and under pressure on a variety of duties
  • Accurate and organised worker with a keen eye for detail
