Role Snapshot…
South Norfolk and Broadland Councils have relaunched their popular Kids Camp and are on the lookout for new team members. If you’re outgoing, energetic, and have a passion for helping young people develop their cognitive skills, confidence, health, and wellbeing whilst having fun, then read on!

What you’ll be doing…
- Leading activities
- Ensuring Kids Camp assistants are engaged and involved
- Delegating jobs to Kids Camp assistants
- Ensuring the safety of all children
- Setting up activities
- Ensuring the scheme is well run and contributing towards its development
- Carrying out basic housekeeping duties
- Making sure everyone has fun!
You must have…
Essential: Level 3 (or equivalent) Childcare qualification.
Experience in working with children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds. A willingness to undertake professional development specific to the facilities. A First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification or the willingness to attain one through ourselves. You must have good attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our customers. An understanding of the principles of Play and the role of adults. An awareness of child development, children’s rights, and the importance of working within an equal opportunities’ framework. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate well to children/young people and adults. Ability to be innovative in helping organise/plan activities. A sound knowledge of the health and safety policy and procedures.
